Successful Onion Harvest: 47kg Yield Achieved in Kelafo Woreda

Agro-COM Farming Technology Cooperative is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its onion production project in Kelafo Woreda, Shabelle zone. Beginning in February 2024, Agro-COM worked closely with local farmers in Gan village to plant and cultivate onions using advanced farming techniques and equipment. By August 15, 2024, the cooperative had harvested a remarkable 47 kilograms of onions, showcasing the potential for high-yield cash crop production in the region.

The project highlights Agro-COM’s dedication to promoting diversified agriculture and supporting farmers in achieving market-oriented production. This success not only boosts income for the participating farmers but also demonstrates the cooperative’s capacity to enhance food production and drive economic growth in the Somali region.
